KCC JEE Board Member Takuzo Ishida Awarded Certificate of Merit

On March 22, 2008 in Minneapolis, MN, Consul General Kenji Shinoda presented Mr. Takuzo Ishida with a certificate of commendation on behalf of the Foreign Minister of Japan. This award, announced in July 2007, commends Mr. Ishida for his proactive efforts to promote mutual understanding between Japan and the United States of America. Over the past 21 years, Mr. Ishida has served as Board Member, President and now Emeritus Director of the Japan America Society of Minnesota. He also founded, fifteen years ago, the Minneapolis Japanese School where he serves as President. Mr. Ishida has served as the symposium chair of the Kobe College Corporation-Japan Education Exchange since 1995.
